The foundation of every Operational Capability
What It Is The concept of Instruction describes how the necessary knowledge and skills will be instructed to both instuctors and operators. This provides a fully staffed and field tested framework that will ensure that, by following an established canvas, the same endstate is reached after every course, thus ensuring consistency and continuity. The endstate determined within this concept of operations provides a sufficient level of performance for operational engagement.

What It Is The concept of Training describes the process and principles to either maintain or enhance the level of performance reached after instruction. While training needs to be as realistic and flexible as possible, it needs to remain within well set boundaries in order to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and remain within the established safety framework. The allocation of the correct type and amount of training means (infrastructure, weapons & ammunition, simulation, targets, Opposing Forces and scenario's,...) is an essential aspect of optimizing all training concepts and activities.
What It Is The manual describes how materiel or equipment is to be used by the operator. It contains all techniques and procedures that will ensure that the operator is capable of employing the material or equipment to reach the operational endstate. Correct application of the foreseen techniques and procedures also ensures the safety of the operator and bystanders. Although firms usually provide a manual on how to fit or operate equipment, these manuals are never adapted to the specific circumstances of the organization in which the equipment will be used. Adapted manuals are a necessity to ensure the operational endstate within an approved safety framework.
